Description Of ItemNotes relating to ‘suicidal melancholia,’ specifically [conditional] suicidal melancholia due to ‘intolerable burdens.’ Additional notes relating to ‘moral treatment.’ Notes are accompanied by six press cuttings, two of which are attributed to the Gaglinani, the Kelso Mail, and the Stamford Mercury. The press cuttings describe various instances of suicides and suicide attempts related to ‘temporary insanity,’ including one instance of the murder-suicide of a couple in France.
