The first press cutting from an unknown source describes the murder of a thirteen-year-old boy near Bristol, England. The second press cutting, also from an unknown source, describes the acquittal on the ground of insanity of Alexander Holmes, who was accused of murder as described in the previous press cutting. The third press cutting, from an unknown source, describes the confession of the murder of Catherine Lewis by John Mapp near Shrewsbury.
