Description Of ItemClipped article from the Observer in a scrapbook from the collection of John Ritchie relating to a heatwave in Budapest, and the effects it had on the city and public. This included public nudity, incidents of fevers and ‘dazed conditions which makes them incapable of working’, cold water taps running hot water, and the derailment of a train on the Félegyhaza line owing to the expansion of the rails.
