From the collection of Arnold Meiklejohn. Although all these papers were in the one folder there is a clear divide by subject between Meiklejohn's work in Iran and his work for UNRRA and the Oxford Nutrition Survey. Items in folder one were in a flap at the front of the folder and relate to Iran. The other two folders are arranged in the order in which they were originally kept. Folder 1 - letters with expenses claims by Meiklejohn for his journey from the UK to Abadan, correspondence on the terms and conditions of his employment, correspondence with J A Jameson, Managers of the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company, Sir Edward Mellanby, Frank Marsh etc and letters about the distribution of cod liver oil amongst the children in the area; and draft article by Meiklejohn on the health situation in Abadan.
