Description Of Item | The correspondence had been arranged alphabetically in the previous catalogue. Some original labels that were retained (ABJ/4/1/382) indicate that his professional letters were arranged chronologically so that arrangement has been reinstated. The letters are addressed to John Abercromby or Abercrombie at York Place. On many of the letters, notes on the reverse give diagnoses and prescriptions, presumably by Abercrombie. Some case notes by unidentified correspondents, which had been listed in a separate section, have been reincorporated. These may have been Abercrombie's own cases. |
