| Description Of Item | Andrew Duncan became Professor of the Institutes of Medicine at the University of Edinburgh in 1790 and was elected president of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. In 1819 his son became joint professor of medical theory with him. He died on 5 July 1828. |
