As they are personal medical files they have been closed for 75 years from the last entry on the file in accordance with Records Management: NHS [National Health Service] Code of Practice (Scotland) Version 2 (2010) where the patient is indicated as deceased; and 100 years from the date of birth of those who are not indicated as deceased.
This series is later than those at GIR/2/2 and the files are in a different format. The type of information on the file varies but includes diagnosis; ECG request reports from the Department of Cardiology; x ray reports; blood analysis; charts of pulse rates and temperature; correspondence; and weight charts.
