He writes that Dr Gregory is prescribing red bark in every case he can with great success. A Mr Rigley has published a book on 200 cases in and about Norwich where the bark was used and never failed. He asks for the return of a paper so he can pass it to Lady Maxwell. He hopes to set up in business with Dr Stirling in Stirling and to that end wants to be a member of the 'new Royal Society'. He hopes to submit a paper soon but as he is not in agreement with Dr Monro he fears 'a little of his unmannerly criticism'. Transcript available. |
