Post mortem
Description Of ItemAddressed to William Hamilton. He thanks Hamilton for his account of Mrs Hamilton's case. He has performed a post mortem on the child and agrees with Hamilton and Dr Stevenson that there is no obvious cause of death. He has discussed the case with Dr Monro and suggests the alternatives. He suspects latent disease in the father and recommends a mercurial course for both parents. He advises a suitable interval be left before another pregnancy and breast-feeding as a contraceptive.
