| Description Of Item | The illustration depicts the trachea in mottled pink, branching out at the bottom to connect to the top of the lungs. Blue tubes represent the bronchial glands. White rings on the lungs represent bronchi, blue rings represent veins and red rings represent arteries.
Some letters are pencilled around the illustration. ‘Inside colour of [illegible]’ is written on the top right.
Above the illustration, ‘Plate III fig. 1’ is written in ink. Below the illustration, there is an oval stamp which says ‘BIBLIOTH COLL. REG. MED. EDIN.’
