| Description Of Item | The volume contains an incomplete unannotated copy of David MacBeth Moir's 'Outlines of the Ancient History of Medicine' from Chapter III, to p192 of Chapter X. Before this are handwritten rough notes for the work, a page of which had been written on the reverse of a letter requesting his autograph dated 18th October 1830. Inscribed on the flyleaf 'John Wilson Moir from his mother July 1853'. John was David MacBeth Moir's son. The back cover is embossed C E M 1852 which were the initials of his mother Catherine Elizabeth Moir. |
