Includes copy of a letter from Richard Poole to the College on the removal of fines for non-attendance at meetings, 30th April 1838; printed resolutions of the Royal College of Surgeons of London for the regulation of training, 28th April 1838; draft resolutions by Poole; draft minutes of the meeting of the Committee on Medical Education, 22nd May, 2nd June and 11th June 1838; copy letter from Poole to Sir John Campbell on the bill to regulate medical charities in Ireland, 2nd June 1838; manuscript schedule showing agreement on curricula between the three colleges of Surgeons and the Joint Committee; four letters from William Pulteney Alison to Poole, one asking for the letter to London to include a sentence on clinical attendance; notice on the inexpediency of changing the rules on the admission of fellows following advice from counsel; and a copy of the printed Bill for the better regulation of hospitals, dispensaries and other medical charities in Ireland, 1838.
