| Description Of Item | From the collection of the Scottish Medical Service Emergency Committee. Notices of civil surgeons posted 20/12/1916 to 7/1/1918 for the British Isles. In December 1917 there are three notices of applications to temporary commissions in the Special Reserve, Royal Army Medical Corps. Further loose notices of appointment to temporary commissions 28/12/1916 to 24/3/1917 had been added to the front of the file. From January 1918 the notice changes to a weekly return of postings to commissions for England and Wales, Ireland and Scotland; a return of medical women appointed; and a return of RAMC officers killed or missing. These are interspersed with lists of those officers in the RAMC who have renewed their contracts. Includes tables of statistics for appeal cases dated January 1918.
