Description Of Item | Flyer advertises that 'Two Wonderful German Dwarfs' would be part of the performance on 7 March 1818 at the Sans Pareil [Adelphi] Theatre on the Strand. Nannette Stocker, of Austria, and [John] Hauptmann, of Alsace, would give a musical performance on the piano-forte and violin, before concluding with a German Waltz. Stocker and Hauptmann had performed to all the Royal Family, the Queen and Prince Regent in particular. The Flyer also details their ages and heights and Stocker's weight, and that they could both speak multiple languages. It is likely that Stocker is the same person featured in OBJ/PAM/1/27. Two plays are also advertised, Whackham & Windham, and Three Crumps, both by Miss [Jane] Scott the theatre's manager.
