Description Of Item | Following the introduction in London of a British Medical Association (BMA) list of the consultants and specialists willing to undertake consultations at a reduced rate of one guinea it was decided in 1933 that a similar list should be drawn up for Scotland. A board was appointed to control the Consultants' List consisting of representatives of the Royal Scottish Corporations and the BMA [British Medical Association].
