The final page is signed by Ramsey who may have taken the notes but nothing is known about him. A number of obstetrical sources are cited including Francois Mauriceau (1637-1709), Hugh Chamberlen (1630-1720 or 1664-1728), Herman Boerhaave (1668-1738), Pierre Dionis (1643-1718) and Henrick van Deventer (1651-1724).
