Description Of ItemColour illustration of a preparation of the stricture of the oesophagus of a child of 8 years that accidentally swallowed a solution of potash (?). Illustration shows cut and spread oesophagus with inserted surgical tool (?). Notes on reverse summarise the case. The child was attended to by Dr Thomas Molison and the author/artist. She was unable to eat due to the stricture and died. The preparation was sent to a Dr Monro [Alexander Monro III?].
