Description Of ItemIngredients listed in the recipe are: fresh grass and ‘geallom’ arsenic in an ointment, old urine and salt to wash away the ointment.
It instructs to rub the ointment where the mange or ‘hitch’ is, than tie up the horse so it doesn’t bite itself, than after for few hours wash the ointment; repeat this process for two or three days.
