Description Of ItemCopy of a recipe found in A Rich Store-House or Treasury for the Diseased, sixth edition, printed by Ralph Blower in 1616, London. Fol, 46.
Ingredients listed in the recipe are: cloves, mace [nutmeg tree’s seed’s aril], bay salt, cummin, and sage.
It instructs to mix the ingredients together and place them in a small linen bag, to be warmed up and applied to the head of the patient every morning and evening.
