| Description Of Item | This section contains drawings and photographs collected by John Ballantyne. They were originally housed in large black leather binder divided into three sections. The original order has been maintained from the front of the binder to the back. BJW/2/1-34 were in the first section; BJW/2/35-40 were in the second; and BJW/2/41-60 were in the third. Many of the captions refer to a fuller description 'in the text' but it is not known which text this is. Many of the drawings are by William Cathie of the firm W & R Cathie, lithographic artists, St Andrew Square, Edinburgh (ref: BJW/2/11). |
