He is interested in James Boswell as Osler bequeathed letters of Dr Withering to the Royal Society of Medicine of London amongst which is a diploma signed by John Boswell. He is giving a talk to the Society on the papers and needs to know everything he can about the family. He asks for clarification of a James Boswell in a reference from 1783 as the physician to the Nabob of Arcot. He encloses a photograph of the diploma. |
