Dr Clow replies enclosing a letter from Miss Hyndman, with more information on Skeoch who was married to a cousin of her father's; an invitation to dinner with Charles Arthur, Lieutenant Governor, 1828; a certificate that Skeoch had worked as an assistant surgeon in His Majesty's navy, 1820; and a letter of recommendation for Skeoch by Robert Marchope to the Lord's Commissioners of the Admiralty, 1819. |
