| Description Of Item | The volume is divided into clinical lectures which run more or less chronologically (some have been bound out of order) from 2nd March 1773 until February 1774, although with a gap between April and December 1773. Each lecture took the form of a case study and the patient's name, symptoms and treatment are given. After the lecture for 18th February there is a subject index by disease or condition with page numbers, although the pages in the volume are not numbered consecutively. After the index is a lecture dated 6th April 1770. At the rear of the volume is a series of undated patient case notes which give the patient's name and a daily journal of symptoms and treatment. One of the patients is described as 'a West Indian Quartan'. Any earlier volumes in this series are wanting. |
