The volumes of First Lines have been published with interleaving blank pages for the annotations. The annotations are on the margins of the printed pages with more extensive amendments written on the adjacent blank page. All spellings used for chapter headings etc are as given in the volumes. The dates given are the publication dates as the dates of the annotations are unknown.
Cullen's annotations of Herman Boerhaave's works are minimal and are often merely corrections of typographical errors. |
