According to the original manuscripts catalogue they were by James Hume but the handwriting does not resemble that in HUJ/1. They are all bound in the same vellum and although no year is given in the volumes, the day and months for the first three follow on from each other. No year is given in any volume. However, the days of the month given in HUJ/2/1 falls in 1718 so that year has been assumed for the first five volumes. The nearest year for the days of the month given in HUJ/2/5 is 1714. |
