| Description Of Item | The drafts were in two large bundles and were not in order. The order was reassembled using the book and the relevant book chapters and page numbers have been given in the entries. (Note that the page numbers in the entries relate to the page numbers in the published first edition, and not to the numbers on the drafts themselves). There appears to be more than one set of drafts which may be accounted for by the suggestion of a revised edition (see KWS/2/57). The drafts are amended, probably by the editor Ninian Bruce, and many include hand-written footnotes.
The drafts are not complete and there are often pages missing. Where a run of pages is continuous a dash is used between page numbers, and a break is indicated by a comma. Many of the pages are in poor condition. |
