The first volume has sections on food - meat, milk, butter and cheese, wheat-flour and bread, beverages, condiments and tinned foods - followed by sections on tubercle, glanders, anthrax, leprosy, diphtheria, tetanus, cholera, actinomycosis, bacillus enteriditis sporogenes, coliform group, Fraenkel's pneumococcus, plague, bacteriological examination of water, kala azar, malaria, guinea worm, filariasis, bilharzia, ankylostoma duodenale etc. The second smaller volume is on sanitary law with summaries of relevant acts 1875-1910. It is not known who P N Cave was or how his notes came to be with the Kinnier Wilson collection. The volumes were in the drawer labelled 'vertigo' in the reprint collection. |
