Description | Lizars was the brother of John Lizars. He was a lecturer on anatomy in the extra-mural school at Edinburgh 1832-1841. He was professor of anatomy at Marischal College and became the first Chair of Anatomy at the University of Aberdeen, formed in 1860 with the joining of Marischal and Kings Colleges.
