Relates to the case of 44-year-old John Crawford, admitted for treatment after complaining of pain in his right side, urinary issues, and weakening of the lower limbs. Crawford died 48 hours after admission. Includes patient history obtained from his wife, details of his state after admission under the care of first Dr [James] Syme and then Thomas Laycock, and the results of a post-mortem examination. Note is signed by Andrew Smart, resident physician.
