Description Of ItemPatient case note from the collection of Thomas Laycock. Relates to 26-year-old Mary Thomson, admitted to the [Edinburgh] Royal Infirmary under the care of Laycock on 9 July 1862. Note details patient history, results of physical examinations, symptoms – including spinal pain, urinary issues, vomiting, and paraplegia - and prescribed treatments. States that as patient recovers, she is placed under care of Dr [William Rutherford] Sanders. Note signed Duckworth CC [clinical clerk].
