TitleCollection of notes on the subject of ‘Paraplegic Diseases’
Date[mid 19th century]
Description Of ItemNotes from the collection of Thomas Laycock on the subject of ‘Paraplegic Diseases’. The notes discuss ‘spinal palsies’, ‘acute paraplegia’, ‘reflex paraplegia’ and ‘functional palsy’. There are several additional items inserted within the pages. On blue paper there is a list of headings and summary notes titled ‘Spinal Palsies and Paraplegic Diseases’, and a note describing reflex paraplegia. On a small piece of white paper, stamped with the University of Edinburgh crest, there is a reference to what seems to be a book titled ‘[Illustrations] of Paraplegia’ and a list of page numbers. There is another piece of paper referencing ‘[Illustrations] of Spinal Diseases’, again with a list of page numbers. It is unconfirmed whether these references are to books, journals, or to something else, as no record of them could be found.
