Description Of ItemNewspaper cutting on the hearing of a homicide of labourer Alexander Baxter by way of using a quantity of jalap in alcohol by Peter Milne and John Barry. The hearing took place in Dundee circuit court. Baxter died on 13 August 1867. Mr J C Smith noted that it was not illegal to administer something injurious to health. The case was deserted. This item is from the collection of Thomas Laycock.
