Details how a report was read at the British Anti-Tobacco Society to prove the injury to health resulting from the use of tobacco. The example notes were cases of paralysis in inmates of workhouses, and that lunatic asylums were ‘filled with persons whose malady had been mainly produced by the use of tobacco’.
