| Description Of Item | The illustration depicts the hard palate in the roof of the mouth in pink, with a section exposed to reveal nerves. The upper teeth are painted in colour, with the exception of one back molar which forms part of a pencil sketch that shows the tonsils and uvula. A pink crescent shape, which is not present in the corresponding plate, curves down from the bottom molars, possibly indicating an area which has been peeled away.
