Description | Molony was born in Dublin [Ireland] in 1886. He studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh and graduated in 1908 with a further Diploma in Public Health in 1926. He served in the First World War in both France and Iraq. He joined the Indian Medical Service and attained the rank of Lieutenant in 1914, Captain in 1915, Major in 1926 and Lieutenant Colonel in 1934. He retired from the service in 1938. He was a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and became a fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 1939. He died in 1976.
