| Description Of Item | The title as given on volume is: 'Syllabus of the Course of Lectures on the Principles and Practice of Surgery instituted by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and delivered by John Lizars at the Medical School, Brown Square, Edinburgh'. The syllabus was printed in 1832 in twenty-four pages with the rest of the volume left blank for the student's own notes. Owen's title was 'Notes on Surgery from a course of lectures delivd [delivered] by Professor Lizars 1833 & 1834 - 1834 & 1835'. Also inscribed 'Volume 1st' on the flyleaf but subsequent volumes are wanting.' Includes at p273 a section titled 'Lectures on Diseases of the Eye by Dr Robertson 1835'. |
