| Description Of Item | Letters from C S & C L P Grace WS, St Andrews to Sir Robert Philip on the terms of George Cheetham's Trust which left money to any charity providing for tuberculosis patients. They had been advised by the Committee of the James Mackenzie Institute to create a bequest for research at the Glenalmond Sanatorium, Kinross but the trustees were unsure whether the research of Dr Munro, the Medical Superintendent, would continue after his retiral and ask to meet with Philip to get his advice. A further letter indicates that Philip had advised that the money be given to the Royal Victoria Hospital Trust to administer and they agreed. Later correspondence between from L B Bell, treasurer to the Royal Victoria Hospital Trust and Philip on the Cheetham bequest. |
