In his catalogue Poole writes 'I have...gone through the alphabet in enumerating the series of papers forming the Collection thus catalogued but may conjoin under &&'. The first five items were removed from this collection, although one has been reinstated, as detailed below:
Item 1 - 'Documents in the case between the Faculty and the University of Glasgow, ended in the Faculty's favour'. Now transferred to the Library. Several copies shelved at B 10.7 - not known which was Poole's copy.
Item 2 - had also been separated from the Poole collection and had been catalogued as the sole volume in a Collection of Sir Robert Sibbald but has now been reincorporated here.
Item 3 - 'Copy minutes of College from 18th January 1682 to 3rd August 1725' by a clerk of Alexander Boswell's. Had been kept in the College muniments but reincorporated here.
Item 4 - 'An interleaved copy of the Report on Examination etc in which I have transcribed various articles from different sources'. Now transferred to the Library. Shelved at L 9.18
Item 5 - 'Narrative of Dr Gregory's Conduct' with annotations by Poole. Although copies of this exist in the library at B 10.13 it is not known which if any was from this collection. This has now been reincorporated. |
