| Description Of Item | The volume gives name and address of the doctor; locality; division; date of application; class: P=panel, HA=home address, WTO=whole time officer, Cons=consultant, Grad=graduate etc; who vouched for them; arrangements in absence; date sent to WO [War Office]; remarks (eg killed, given letter of excuse etc). The volume is arranged by original date of application.
At the front of the volume were blank forms issued by the Ministry of National Service to record information by area and by doctor's name. With one of the forms is a typed list of the codes used for grading doctors. These are now stored in a separate folder. |
