Description Of ItemFrom the collection of the Scottish Medical Service Emergency Committee. The majority of the returns are notices from the War Office of temporary officers in the RAMC who had not renewed their contracts, giving the practitioner's name, address and date of relinquishment. Also includes some lists of those missing or killed. The lists are divided into England and Wales, Scotland and Irish and Colonial. Originally in an untitled folder. On 27th March 1918, the Ministry told the Committee that all practitioners who had relinquished medical commissions and could be spared from civilian practice should be requested to report for immediate service (Currie p135).
