The letters were either from the Ministry to the Committee or from the War Office to the Chief Commissioner of Medical Services at the Ministry. They enclosed lists of servicemen giving their names, where they were currently serving and a date of release where applicable. Each list is numbered (1-347) and the numbers tally with the list at SMC/3/12/1. The letters were originally in an untitled file Volume I which was not retained. |
