The letters were either from the Ministry to the Committee or copies of letters from the War Office to the Chief Commissioner of Medical Services at the Ministry. They enclosed lists of servicemen giving their names, where they were currently serving and a date of release where applicable. Each list is numbered (348-404) and the numbers tally with the list at SMC/3/12/1. Includes lists of officers whose release had been ordered by who had not yet returned to their practice. The letters were originally in an untitled file Volume II which was not retained. |
