TitleLetter from Lambert Wilkes, 10 Hanover Street, Islington
Date15 Jan 1849
Description Of ItemFrom the correspondence of the Society for Improving the Conditions of the Insane. Addressed to Sir Alexander Morison. He gives his observation on Bethlem Hospital. He thinks patients of different classes should be segregated; more kindness should be shown the inmates; more attempts should be made at treating and stimulating them; and keepers should be selected not just for their 'size and animal strength'.
