Although there is no internal evidence that the book belonged to Thomas Young there is an inscription on the first page: 'Case book on Midwifery - probably that of Professor Thomas Young referred to as 'still in existence by Professor Hamilton in his 'Treatise on the Management of Female Complaints' Edinburgh, 1809, p167 (see e.g. case on p439 which is clearly one of Dr Young's own).
