Description Of ItemEmpty small pot which would have been filled with Holloway's Ointment, which was invented by Thomas Holloway in the nineteenth century. It was a popular cure for a range of conditions, including gout, rheumatism, ulcers, sore breasts and sore heads. The branding on the pot includes an image of a female figure (possibly Hygeia, a Greek muse) and details of the quantity of ointment which the pot held.
