| Description Of Item | This item was purchased at online auction. According to the information accompanyign the purchase: 'The leg was purchased in Augsburg, Germany in 1980s by a woman who lost her right leg above the knee in 1972 at age of 8 in a car accident. She got used to this exosceletal kind of wooden leg and she prefered this kind even when modular prosthetics were available. She used this leg for some years before she got a more modern one. It ended up in her attic but in 2010 she decided that it might look cool to get her old wooden prosthetic leg pimped. We pimped it for her and she used it a couple of times for orthopedic exhibitions and for some events but it didn't fit very well to her residual limb anymore and we did a new one for her. To compensate some cost for her new styled prosthetic this one is for sale.
