| Description Of Item | It was owned by a Dr McLagan who practiced in Berwick upon Tweed. 'Redpine from the Edinburgh Old Infirmary' has been engraved on the base of the stethoscope. It is made from old timber from the Royal Infirmary which was refurbished or demolished in 1879. It therefore, possibly dates from 1880. |
