Description Of ItemCinchona bark (also known as Peruvian bark or Jesuit's bark), in cylindrical glass jar with foot and label. Removable cap with button grip ground in glass. On label: CINCHONA BARK (Jesuit's Bark) from Chinchona calisaya, indigenous to the Andes in South America. Constituents - Quinine, cinchonine and quinidine alkaloids. Uses - Tonic and bitter and as source of the alkaloids. On cap: 136. Underneath base: 691. Herriot Watt object number is hw.Ph.0961.
