| Description Of Item | Dr Robert Alexander Fleming was the president of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh between 1927 and 1929. He was a senior lecturer in Clinical Medicine at various Edinburgh universities, and a senior surgeon at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
