| Description Of Item | Dr Charles Edward Underhill was the president of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh between 1906 and 1908, before his sudden death in office. His term was completed by Dr John Playfair, who Underhill succeeded in 1906. He was a Consultant Physician at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children and a Demonstrator in Anatomy at the University of Edinburgh.
